Indian Cleric: Iran's Resistance Against Two Nuclear Powers Is a Defense of Islamic Values, Not Just Borders

Hojatoleslam Syed Wasi Haider Rizvi, referring to Iran's stand against two nuclear powers, described this resistance as a defense of Islamic values, national independence, and religious identity, and emphasized the need for the Islamic world to support the people of Palestine and Gaza.

Hawzah News Agency, Hojatoleslam Syed Wasi Haider Rizvi, an Indian cleric, delivered Friday prayer sermons in Karimpur, India, where he referred to Iran's stand against two nuclear powers and described this resistance as a defense of Islamic values, national independence, and religious identity. He also emphasized the need for the Islamic world to support the people of Palestine and Gaza.

Resistance Against Oppression in Line with Imam Ali's (AS) Conduct

Referring to Ansarullah, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran, he said: These forces stand against powers that oppose Islam and the Quran.

Recalling the courage of Amir al-Mu'minin Imam Ali (AS) and the events of the battles of Badr, Uhud, Khaybar, and Khandaq, he added: Today's followers of that Imam keep the message of steadfastness and resistance alive by standing against oppression.

Defense of Wilayah and Imamate in the Conduct of Hazrat Zahra (SA)

The Friday prayer leader of Karimpur continued, referring to Hazrat Fatima Zahra's (SA) defense of wilayah and imamate, saying: Despite personal sufferings and hardships, that noble lady prioritized the guardianship of the wilayah of Amir al-Mu'minin Imam Ali (AS), and according to him, this event demonstrates the central place of wilayah and imamate in the view of Hazrat Zahra (SA).

Fadakiyyah Sermon: Explaining the Wisdom of Divine Rulings

Hojatoleslam Syed Wasi Haider Rizvi, referring to the Fadakiyyah Sermon, elaborated on the historic speech of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA) in the Prophet's Mosque, saying: That noble lady entered the mosque observing hijab and accompanied by a group of Quraysh women, with a curtain placed between her and those present; she then delivered a sermon now known as the Fadakiyyah Sermon.

Explaining the beginning of the sermon, particularly the phrase "My father is Muhammad," he said this expression demonstrates Hazrat Zahra's (SA) special and close bond with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The Indian cleric added: In the Fadakiyyah Sermon, Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA) succinctly and comprehensively explained the wisdom and philosophy of nearly twenty important topics. She described faith as a means of purification from polytheism, prayer as a cause of distance from arrogance, zakat as a means of soul purification, fasting as a factor in strengthening sincerity, and Hajj as a means of strengthening religion. According to him, Hazrat Zahra (SA) also described justice as a foundation for harmony among hearts, obedience as a factor in the orderliness of the Ummah, and the imamate of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) as a source of safety from division.

Explaining the phrase "And our imamate is a security from division," he said: Had the Ummah, after the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), accepted the wilayah and imamate of Imam Ali (AS) and followed him, it would have been protected from discord and dispersion.

He further referred to other teachings of the Fadakiyyah Sermon, saying: Hazrat Zahra (SA) described jihad as a source of Islam's honor, patience as a foundation for reward and well-being, kindness to parents as a cause of distance from divine wrath, maintaining family ties as a cause of increasing progeny, and qisas (retribution) as a factor in preserving human lives.

The religious expert also referred to the phrase "O people, know that I am Fatima and my father is Muhammad, may God bless him and his family," saying: This statement is not merely self-introduction; rather, it is a reminder of Hazrat Zahra's (SA) relationship with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and an expression of her status before the Ummah.

Conflict Between Certain Economic Interests and Islamic Teachings

In another part of his remarks, the Friday prayer leader of Karimpur addressed current issues, saying: The fundamental teachings of Islam are in conflict with certain economic and commercial activities to which various powers have tied their interests.

He enumerated usury, the production and promotion of films and entertainment based on indecency, as well as alcohol and its trade, among such cases, saying: Islam invites humanity to a pure life, justice, ethics, and halal economy; therefore, Islamic teachings can stand against illegitimate interests.

Hazrat Zahra's (SA) Satisfaction as a Path to Divine Satisfaction

Hojatoleslam Syed Wasi Haider Rizvi, citing the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) "Indeed, God becomes angry for Fatima's anger and is pleased for her pleasure," said: In this narration, the pleasure and anger of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA) are linked to divine pleasure and anger. Therefore, performing worship alone is not sufficient; rather, love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and following their teachings must also have a place in one's heart and conduct.

In conclusion, he emphasized: Whoever seeks God's satisfaction must apply the conduct and teachings of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA) in their life.
